According to rumors, some Manchester United players are getting fed up with Cristiano Ronaldo and his shady behavior and would prefer if he left the team.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been with the Red Devils for just one year after leaving Juventus, and he has requested to leave Old Trafford once more. He reportedly wants to sign with a Champions League team, as he skipped United’s preseason tour of Thailand and Australia for “family reasons.”

He had barely trained for about 10 days prior to Sunday’s loss to Brighton, and as a result, lacked both match sharpness and familiarity with the coaching philosophy and tactics of his new manager, Erik ten Hag.

He was only able to sit on the bench as a result, but he was introduced shortly after halftime as United attempted to get back into the game. Despite this, they ultimately lost 2-1.

Some players feel the club’s board should just let him depart because the issue is threatening to get poisonous and has overshadowed United’s start to the new season.

Even though Ronaldo still has some supporters and hasn’t alienated the entire team, many are “fed up with way he is doing things.” The 37-year-old insists that they had a gentleman’s understanding that would have allowed him to go this summer if United did not make the Champions League.
