The following are the 2023 Top EV Picks from Cars.com, which are listed in the Cars.com EV Buying Guide:

  1. Family EV — 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5: The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a small SUV that offers a lot more inside space than it first appears. It has enough room to transport a family and all of their belongings. The storage niches inside are great for hiding devices or munchies, which parents will enjoy. Due to its generous legroom and straightforward Latch anchors for simple attachment, the Ioniq 5’s backseat can comfortably fit two car seats for people who have children in car seats. This family car is equipped for both short and long road journeys with a competitive EPA-estimated maximum range of 220-303 miles, depending on configuration.
  2. Value EV — 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV: The well-equipped Chevy Bolt EV hatchback has a starting price of less than $30,000 before any available tax incentives and has an EPA-estimated maximum range of 259 miles. With a 10.2-inch touchscreen multimedia system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility, automated climate control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure steering assist, this hatchback offers more than enough to satisfy consumers who are on a tight budget.
  3. Luxury EV — 2023 Genesis Electrified G80: The Genesis Electrified G80 is a stunning electrified luxury sedan with an extravagant interior that outshines the competitors. The multimedia system is slick, simple to understand, and straightforward to utilize. This luxury EV further improves the driving experience so that there is essentially no powertrain noise at all, unless you want there to be.
  4. Commuter EV — 2023 Kia Niro EV: The Kia Niro EV is a lively and exciting four-door compact hatchback that has a smooth ride and a lovely interior, making it ideal for lengthy commutes or traffic jams. The hatchback body packs a fair amount of cargo and passenger space within a clean, easy-to-park exterior dimension, and with an estimated maximum range of 253 miles, owners shouldn’t need to plug in every night.
